Old Tbilisi
Old Tbilisi is the city's historic core: a maze of cobbled lanes under Narikala fortress, sulfur-bath domes, churches, courtyards and river views. It is the most beautiful and most touristy part of town. Living here means waking up inside a postcard and paying for it in noise, ageing buildings and everyday compromises. Transport
Walkability is the main plus. Metro stations Liberty Square and Avlabari sit on the edges, a cable car climbs to Narikala from Rike Park. The minus: a car is nearly useless here — narrow streets, slopes and almost no parking. The hillside quarters add climbs.
Parks and greenery
For walks there are two close anchors: Rike Park on the embankment (flat riverside walking, running and cycling) and the National Botanical Garden tucked behind Narikala. Mtatsminda Park sits on top of the ridge, reached by the funicular, for views and hiking. Greenery is more about hills and the river than flat running loops.

Old Tbilisi is about living inside the city's history, with its romance and its friction: tourist crowds, short-term rentals, uneven old housing.
